What happens if something I've ordered is out of stock?

If it is expected back in stock within 1 week, you will be notifed and your entire order will be shipped at that time.

If the item is not expected back in stock within 1 week, you will be notified via email and the order will be processed and shipped without that item.  If there is an estimated date for the item to return to stock, you will be notified and given the opportunity to backorder the item. If the item is not expected to return, or we do not currently have an expected date, you will be notified and your credit card will be issued a credit for the missing item.

What if I fail to choose a shipping option during ordering, and live outside the default area?

You will be contacted to authorize the addition of the lowest priced shipping option to your area.  

How much does shipping cost?

How long does shipping take?

All orders are usually shipped from the warehouse within 1-2 business days from the day you place your order.  All times are estimates from the day you place your order.

Are shipments insured?

Yes, insurance is included in the cost of shipping.

Can I get a tracking number?

Tracking numbers are only available for the UPS Ground and DHL Rush order options.  These numbers will be placed on the site tracking link once they have been supplied by the shipping company.  Contact us should you require this number and it will be provided.

Can I ship to a PO Box?

Of course, simply choose the USPS option when choosing your shipping.

Can I change my shipping option?

The shipping option cannot be changed by the customer once the order has been submitted, however, we reserve the right to change a shipping option at no additional cost or time to you.

Return Policy

All items can be returned within 30 of receipt of the merchandise in the original packaging.  Please contact us for a return shipping authorization and instructions for return and / or receiving a replacement.  As all items are insured, we may not require a return if the item is broken or defective. 

Items that are not broken or defective will have a 20% restocking fee and shipping will not be refunded.

Returns cannot be accepted after 30 days.

Is there a product Guarantee?

Yes.  All our products are guaranteed to be free from defect and will be as pictured and described on our website.  If you receive a product that does not meet our guarantee, we will ship a free replacement at no charge to your or credit your account.

Do the fountains come with pumps?

All of our fountains come equipped with a cord and pump.

Are they UL recognized?

All of our fountains are UL recognized.

Alabastrite

Alabastrite is the name for polyresin used by our product line.  It is a stone-based material which can be intricately molded to produce great detail, and will allow paint to adhere.  All of our outdoor products are painted and finished to be weather and water resistant.

Wood , Tin / Metal, Ceramic

Many of our birdhouses are made of wood or other materials and then painted and finished to be weather and water resistant.

When will Sales Tax be charged?

Sales tax of 8.05% will be charged on those orders being shipped to Arizona. 

I would like to order from more than one of your sites but only want to pay one shipping charge.  Can I do that?

There are several ways that you can order from more than one of our sites and only pay for shipping once!

1.  Fax the following information to TDT Sales 480-306-8430

Name, Address, Phone#, Email Address

Items wanted include:  SKU, Name, How many of each

Credit Card type, number and security code *

Shipping Preference, if applicable* 

2.  Email the information* from option #1 using the contact form, or

orders@thebirdhouseshack.com

3.  Call our customer service line and order by phone or leave a message for us to call for your order (please do not leave your credit information on voicemail!)

*You will be called, emailed or faxed back with a total to approve before credit card is charged ----  if no shipping preference is selected, the default method will be charged.
